Location: Leicester with hybrid working Salary: £90,000-£110,000pa We are looking for someone to oversee and develop the Operational Risk practices within CCB's Risk function, in line with emerging industry good practice and regulatory requirements. Could you act as the subject matter expert in Operational Risk, Technology Risk & Conduct Risk capable of providing sound and accurate advice on all aspects of Operational Risk within the Bank? About you For this role you will need the following skills and experience: Significant experience in a senior Operational Risk role, with detailed knowledge and understanding, including experience supporting business areas develop their operational controls, attending risk committees, oversight of Risk Event Reporting, RCSA, Risk Appetite, KRIs and Risk Registers. A deep understanding of the core elements of an effective Operational Risk Framework, including regulatory requirements and good industry practices, including ICAAP preparation. An appreciation of the key elements of other risk types, e.g. Credit Risk and Financial Risk and how these risk types potentially interact with Operational Risks, Technology & Conduct Risk. An enquiring mind and a willingness to keep personal knowledge up to date on a wide range of subjects related to Operational Risk, Technology Risk & Conduct Risk (examples include, but are not limited to: Cybersecurity, Climate Change risk and geo-political risks). Gravitas, personal credibility and the ability to present professionally to audiences at all levels of seniority. The confidence to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, whilst maintaining impartiality as a member of the second line of defence, including: Board members, senior management, all levels of seniority of staff and regulators. Knowledge of the Banking sector - especially commercial banking. Specific experience of Real Estate and Asset Finance lending and the related risks would be advantageous.
