Join us as a senior leader, reporting to the Director of Water Recycling, who will transform and drive the charge in revolutionising how we manage and invest in our sewerage and surface water infrastructure within our Water Recycling business! This is your chance to deliver meaningful change, set priorities that matter, and shape the strategies that protect and safeguard our environment and customers for generations to come. Your role We have a huge opportunity to think differently about how we manage our water recycling assets from a ‘catchment’ perspective, solving multiple opportunities through operational and investment strategies across short, medium, and long term timescales. This role will have full accountability for the short-term activity (0-5 years) and will have a large influence on the medium to long term plans. This pivotal role will lead complex and large scale change. The strategies and plans that will be developed through this role will set out to transform how our operational and supporting teams work day to day practices via organisational process, system and investment transformations. The role will pull on the full capabilities of the Anglian Water organisation and beyond. Why Join Us? As Head of Operational Strategy and Improvement: You will have the opportunity to make a real difference and deliver transformative change and create a purpose-led environment which will shape the future of our water recycling processes to protect our rivers, communities, and natural resources. You will lead initiatives that help Anglian Water set the bar high for compliance, pollution management, and sustainable practices, embodying our mission to safeguard resources for the benefit of our region. Your Role In this pivotal position that will help shape our future, you will: Oversee a new Water Recycling function to meet existing and new regulatory obligations, ensuring we create both immediate and long-term value for our environment and our communities.

Deliver a transformational change in how we systematically set our region up for success and lead the organisational change required to head towards a strategy of zero untreated escapes in the long term.

Guide investment and operational approaches to balance current performance with future sustainability, influencing senior stakeholders and partners.

What We’re Looking For We’re seeking a transformational leader who shares our passion for making a difference and can inspire others to do the same. You’ll bring: Experience as a senior leader having delivered business transformation; experience of doing so in an operational or regulatory environment is beneficial, but not essential.

Clear experience of leading and influencing key stakeholders to ensure effective decision-making.

Effective collaboration skills, as the success of this role is predicated on the ability to deliver change through cross-functional teams and industry groups. Strategic Vision – proven experience of designing and implementing forward-thinking strategies is a must. You’ll be required to achieve this in line with regulatory expectations, embedding a culture of teamwork, innovation, and environmental responsibility on the journey.
