Head of Operations – The Role: They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Operations to lead their manufacturing operations in Leeds. As the Head of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, optimising processes, and ensuring the efficient production of their educational products. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking company and make a significant impact on the education sector. Head of Operations – Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement operational strategies to optimise manufacturing processes and improve efficiency. Lead and manage the manufacturing team, providing guidance, support, and motivation to achieve production targets and quality standards. Oversee production scheduling, resource allocation, and inventory management to meet customer demand and minimise lead times. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and streamline operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, and logistics, to ensure alignment and integration of operations with overall business objectives. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and drive operational performance. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices. Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to optimise procurement processes and maintain supply chain efficiency. Head of Operations – You: Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred. Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence. Demonstrated track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiency. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and inventory control. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functional teams. Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving operational targets and business objectives.
