The business has been expanding with more exciting growth plans in the pipeline, therefore this is an excellent time to join the team and progress with the company. About the Head of Operations job Reporting to the Managing Director, as Head of Operations you will have a broad remit to oversee all of the company’s production operations as well as Purchasing, Engineering & Maintenance and Packing. As a key part of the business’s Leadership Team you will champion a business culture which encourages health & safety, food safety and appropriate systems of management. Key tasks Develop plans to increase efficiency / reduce costs, whilst improving existing systems. Training and developing teams and individuals in accordance with company policy and standards. Embedding strict food safety & hygiene processes and procedures. Site health & safety procedure and ongoing management through the promotion and enforcement of a safe working environment. Working closely with suppliers to ensure ingredients stock management and traceability meet company standards. About You You will have extensive knowledge bakery production, along with a passion for great food, and a strong track record in Operations management in food production. A “hands on” approach to management, and close working with a busy team. Experience of structured Operations processes and “daily excellence” in food safety, traceability recording and other high-level working practices. Experience of working with UK retailers, and associated audit bodies (e.g. BRC). Strong leadership & coaching skills and the ability to motivate and develop teams. More details The Head of Operations job (ref: 8833) is based in London and is paying to £80,000 plus a £10,000 bonus according to your experience. This is a 24/7 operation but essentially your role will be Monday to Friday based. This company is commutable from London, Waltham Cross, Enfield, Woodford, Barnet, Romford, Epping, Potters Bar and Edgware.
