Head of Operations – Independent Training Provider Location: Hybrid / West Midlands

Salary: £45K - £55K (Negotiable)

Are you an experienced and strategic leader looking to shape the future of a growing, innovative training provider? We are recruiting for a Head of Operations to join our dynamic team and help us realise our ambitious growth plans.

Our client specialise in delivering high-quality Apprenticeships, Adult Education Budget (AEB), Adult Skills Fund (ASF), and Skills Bootcamps. With a focus on learner success and industry-driven training, they are on an exciting journey of expansion, and we need a talented individual to help build and sustain the operational infrastructure to support this growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute an operational strategy that supports our business objectives and enables sustainable growth. Operational Management: Lead and manage the day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and quality frameworks (Ofsted, ESFA/Skills England) Process Improvement: Implement systems and processes that drive efficiency, enhance the learner experience, and ensure scalability as the organisation expands. Team Leadership: Manage and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Data-Driven Decisions: Utilise data and analytics to monitor performance, identify areas for improvement, and inform strategic decisions. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including funders, employers, and awarding bodies. Quality Assurance: Ensure all programmes meet quality and compliance standards, and support ongoing development in line with learner needs and market demands. About You:

Proven experience in a senior operational role within the education or skills sector, ideally within a training provider environment. Strong knowledge of Apprenticeships, AEB, ASF, and Bootcamps, including funding, quality, and compliance requirements. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage operations in a growing organisation. Excellent project management skills with a track record of implementing scalable systems and processes. Data-driven mindset, with the ability to use insights to inform strategic and operational decisions. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
