LV=GI have a new opportunity for a Head of Partnership Trading working from any of our UK offices on a hybrid role with a minimum requirement of 2 days a week in the office.
We have a successful partnerships business that will shortly be growing through the acquisition of a major new partnership. This has created the opportunity for a Partnership Trading Manager to join our team.
As our Head of Partnership Trading you will report into the Partnerships’ Director and will be responsible for helping deliver the trading result for our partnerships business, understanding and reporting the trading performance and identifying opportunities to maximise the trading result and helping us achieve sustainable growth.
Key Accountabilities
Accountable for helping drive the trading result of the partnerships business, managing key P&L metrics such as Claims Ratio and GWP (including add-on revenue).
Work with the Partnership’s Director and wider account management team to drive profitable growth initiatives across key partners, proactively reporting and identifying risks to delivering on key profit metrics.
Responsible for understanding and reporting the trading results, identifying actions as appropriate to maximise the trading results and achieve P&L plans.
Work closely with other areas of the business such as the Retail Trading, Pricing and Underwriting and Customer Operations teams to deliver key metrics.
Work closely with Finance to manage P&L performance.
Continual improvement of the customer experience to drive improvements and reduce costs.
Understand the commercial aspects of our partnership deals and drive activity that maximises results for both Allianz and our partners.
Build strong relationships with Internal and External delivery partners including partners.
Represent the Partnerships team at Retail trading meetings, explaining trading performance of the Partnerships accounts to the broader Retail trading community.
Own the partnerships planning process working with all key stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with the rules and requirements of the FCA and any other relevant legal/regulatory/risk management frameworks, including the Consumer Duty framework.
About you
You will have experience in a Financial Service Environment with General insurance experience an advantage.
You will have experience of delivery in a people management role including building not only functional capability, but developing a culture of continuous development and role model behaviours.
Strong leadership and influencing skills working up to Executive level. Seen as an expert whose advice influences decision making at senior levels with regard to company strategy, approach and recommendations.
Excellent communication skills with well-structured and consistently professional quality and ability to construct and deliver presentations and option papers at Executive and Board level.
Understanding complex issues, and able to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills with ability to apply thinking to change scenarios when required.
You will have the ability to work in a matrix management environment, working across organisational boundaries with great stakeholder management, communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
High level of abstract thinking skills and ability to take the ‘big picture view’ and identify linkages and dependencies between projects.
You will have performance, line management and organisational skills with a demonstrable track record of building high performing teams utilising their strong planning and prioritisation skills and ability to deliver effectively through collaborative working, appropriate delegation and leadership.
