Reed HR are working with a Third sector organisation seeking to appoint team a new member of staff to lead the pedagogical and professional development aspects of a landmark project, a shared education initiative aimed at fostering sustained contact and collaboration among children from diverse backgrounds. This role is pivotal in promoting high-quality, evidence-informed early childhood services, enhancing educational settings, and contributing to a peaceful, prosperous, and cohesive society.

Day-to-Day of the Role:
  • Lead the design and implementation of innovative, evidence-based services to improve outcomes for young children.
  • Provide leadership in the policy and practice context for early childhood education in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
  • Review, evaluate, and design early childhood programmes and training, ensuring they meet internationally recognised standards.
  • Collaborate with a range of Early Years and external services to extend professional knowledge and leadership in early childhood and shared education fields.
  • Manage the Early Years Specialists and ensure all programme activities align with the organisation’s quality assurance processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate level qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in supporting the design, implementation, and evaluation of early years programmes.
  • Recent experience (within the last 5 years) in assurance of early years training, accreditation, and publications.
  • In-depth knowledge of the policy and practice context in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland regarding early childhood education.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of evidence-based practice in relation to the needs of young children and their families.
  • Full current driving licence valid in Northern Ireland/ROI or access to transport to meet the requirements of the post.
