Head of Presentations/ Fitness to Practise
One of the largest healthcare regulators is looking for a new Head of Presentations to manage their Fitness to Practise function.
Overseeing a substantial internal team, the role will take responsibility for leading on all investigations and presentations regarding fitness to practise cases. The position will also involve management of the external presentation team across law firms for more complex cases. Ensuring the high quality of cases for presentation to panels is the core of the role and will be delivered by introducing metrics and developing a management team to support this function.
The role will involve managing a multi-million pound budget so strategic execution, review and impact evaluation of service provision will be a key part of the role. As a member of the senior leadership team across the regulator, you will also be involved with decision making across the directorate and building significant relationships with key external stakeholders.
Suitable candidates must be England and Wales qualified solicitors or barristers and have a well-established track record in regulatory or criminal law around best practice. You should have experience of managing, leading, and developing teams and be able to demonstrate where you helped to deliver best-value service. Given the seniority of the role, you will also have had experience building wide-ranging working relationships with external providers and stakeholders and be keen to develop and establish partnerships with new bodies.
This is an exciting and challenging role for an experienced lawyer with significant regulatory experience to move across to a new area or to a larger regulator. Candidates who are currently working in government or practice are also encouraged to apply if they are able to demonstrate the requisites around budget management and leading teams.
