We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Probate Solicitor/Legal Executive to lead our probate division. This pivotal role is designed for an accomplished legal professional with expertise in private client law or conveyancing who is ready to take on or develop a leadership position. You will oversee a team of managers, ensuring adherence to strict organisational processes and delivering exceptional client service across our national practice. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Management:

Lead and develop the probate team, including direct management of team managers. Set clear performance expectations and drive team success through coaching and mentoring. Foster a collaborative and professional environment focused on excellence and continuous improvement. Operational Excellence:

Ensure the probate division adheres to all legal, regulatory, and internal compliance standards. Oversee case management processes, ensuring strict adherence to organisational workflows and timelines. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction. Strategic Oversight:

Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic goals for the probate division. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure targets are met. Lead initiatives to expand and improve the firm’s probate services across its national footprint. Technical Expertise & Support:

Ideally to act as a subject matter expert in probate matters, providing guidance and advice to team members as needed. Stay updated on legal developments in probate and private client law generally. Support the team in handling complex cases and resolving escalated client issues. Requirements: Qualified Solicitor/Legal Executive with extensive experience in private client or conveyancing law. Proven managerial experience, ideally leading a team of solicitors or legal professionals. Strong organisational skills with a track record of implementing and managing robust processes. Expertise in probate law is preferred but not essential; willingness to develop this expertise is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
