Overview:

Joining us as the Head of Procurement Excellence, you’ll be responsible for driving improvements in functional performance through the implementation of continuous improvement and best-in-class practices across the Procurement function. You’ll do this by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to embed procurement excellence across the organisation and manage the Procurement Excellence and Procurement Operations Teams. Responsibilities:

A key role within Nomad Foods Group Procurement team, in this role you’ll lead and develop a high-performing procurement excellence team. You’ll own functional knowledge management, developing ways of working, methodologies, frameworks, and toolkits to underpin best practice and ensure regulatory compliance within Nomad Foods. Develop capability through the Procurement Academy – through the design, roll-out, management of learning solutions that drive adoption of working methodologies, frameworks & toolkits. Leverage advanced analytics to enhance visibility into procurement spend, supplier performance, and market trends, identifying the key information, data, and metrics that will enable Buyers to be more effective. Develop models, dashboards, reports, and tools that provide insights into procurement performance and opportunities for improvement. Develop and support the implementation of a sustainable procurement strategy that aligns with the corporate strategy. Ensure that procurement systems and processes meet all compliance standards and mitigate risks associated with data integrity, security, and supplier management. Qualifications:

We need someone who has highly effective interpersonal skills to enable excellent negotiation, strong communication, and influencing skills to all levels, particularly at the executive level. You’re a strong leader that can collaborate to drive a flawless transformation in the procurement agenda and achieve best-in-class value delivery. We look for people who are focused on getting results, embrace learning, and bring positive energy, combining initiative with a sense of teamwork and collaboration. Proven experience of developing best practice and ways of working, with excellent functional knowledge in leading Procurement roles. Previous work experience in a matrix procurement organisation. Experienced in different aspects of Procurement such as sourcing and category management, preferably within the Food & Beverage industry. Ability to deal with ambiguity within a complex, matrix, and multicultural environment. Breath / Depth of experience in sourcing processes and procurement standard methodologies, with experience of implementing them in multiple global organisations. Ability to be hands-on operationally as well as building a long-term strategic vision. Results-focused to deliver on financials with the ability to think innovatively and discuss and influence strategy planning (comfortable setting and delivering against bold, stretch targets). Experience of managing expert external procurement consultants in line with business needs.
