The company is looking for a Head of Procurement that can manage supplier relationships to ensure the acquisition of high-quality materials and services at competitive prices. The successful candidate will drive cost savings, improve supplier performance, and support the company's growth and innovation objectives. Job Overview
Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, both domestic and international, to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and implement improvement plans. Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality and supply reliability. Lead, mentor, and develop a small purchasing team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards. Collaborate with engineering, production, and other departments to support new product development and other projects. Job Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, ideally within the automotive or manufacturing industry. Proven track record of strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and cost management. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. Based within a commutable distance of Peterborough. Salary & Benefits
Salary - £35,000 to £40,000 - dependent upon experience, skill, and qualifications. 42.5 hours a week - Monday to Friday position. Holiday package - 28 days including bank holidays. Auto-enrolment pension scheme. Company events.
