You will report directly to the Group MD and play a key role in leveraging the synergies created through recent acquisitions. The successful candidate will need to balance strategic oversight with being hands on, ensuring that procurement activities across all divisions are aligned, cost effective, and maximise quality while minimising risk. Build and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers, ensuring the best value, quality, and service. Lead a small but experienced procurement team, providing guidance and strategic direction. Foster a collaborative culture that aligns with the Company values of One Team and Building Relationships. Drive cost savings through supplier negotiations, bulk purchasing, and standardisation across divisions, ensuring procurement strategies align with business objectives. Spot opportunities for improving processes across the procurement function, implementing systems and practices that drive efficiency, improve lead times, and reduce waste. Maximise the value from recent acquisitions by standardising procurement processes and consolidating suppliers where appropriate, driving economies of scale across the group. Ensure compliance with UK and global procurement regulations, including sustainability initiatives and ethical sourcing. Implement robust risk management strategies to safeguard the supply chain. Work closely with engineering, production, logistics, finance, and other divisions to ensure alignment and smooth execution of procurement strategies. Foster strong relationships across departments to identify and capitalise on opportunities for collaboration and process improvement. Key Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in a Head of Procurement or senior procurement role, ideally in a packaging environment. Strong global sourcing experience with a track record of negotiating with international suppliers and managing cross border supply chains and managing contracts. Demonstrable experience in team leadership and building cross functional relationships. A strategic thinker with the ability to spot opportunities for efficiency and continuous improvement. Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, cost management, and risk mitigation. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Proven ability to work within a dynamic, fast-growing organisation, with experience managing procurement through periods of growth and change. Familiarity with UK and global compliance regulations, particularly around sustainability and ethical sourcing. Being a member of CIPS is a bonus. What is on offer: A unique opportunity to shape and develop a new role within a fast growing, innovative group. The chance to work with a diverse, global supply chain and have a tangible impact on the efficiency and success of the company. A supportive, collaborative working environment aligned with the company values of One Team, Building Relationships, Spotting Opportunities, and Finding a Better Way. Please click on apply.
