Procurement Heads have partnered with a nationally recognised industrial services organisation to recruit a Head of Procurement. This is an exciting opportunity to join a greenfield setting and build a successful procurement function. You’ll be able to take ownership and help shape the future of the function and implement effective processes and strategies across the group. Hybrid working is available, with a presence required at Head Office in Somerset and travel to other company and supplier sites. Role Overview:

This role will involve scoping existing spend, creating strategy for core spend areas (highest spend across: PPE, Labour, Soft FM consumables, Restoration equipment) and negotiating group contracts. We are looking for a dynamic individual, comfortable with setting strategy, process, and governance but also with the softer skills required to win the hearts and minds of stakeholders in a greenfield setting. The ideal candidate will also focus on risk management and maximizing commercial benefits in alignment with business strategy. Key Responsibilities:

Leading the function to develop and deliver the medium to long-term procurement strategy Identifying potential risks in the supply chain and developing robust mitigation plans to address them Negotiating contracts to secure favourable terms and prices with suppliers Developing and owning senior relationships with all suppliers ensuring performance measures are in place which are reviewed regularly Implementing and maintaining standardised procurement processes across the group Coaching, training and motivating direct reports to support their development needs Skills & Experience:

Strong negotiation skills and commercial expertise Strong presentation skills including the ability to present complex information clearly Strong influencing skills and relationship building capability across all levels Able to prioritise and work well across a multi-site group Demonstrable experience within contract law and commodity or base raw material tracking methods Full understanding of the principles of industrial supply and supplier compliance Able to constructively challenge the status quo Strong analytical and operational execution skills with an attention to detail Solid leadership skills with the ability to achieve results through collaborative working with others Benefits:
