Company Description At Informa, no two days and no two people are the same, and you'll find the freedom, opportunity and support of a fantastic community to make a real impact. We're an international business that connects specialists with knowledge, helping them to learn more, know more and do more through live and on demand events, digital and data-driven services and academic research. We are home to over 10,000 colleagues across 30 countries and are a member of the UK's FTSE 100 group of leading public companies. In Global Support, we provide expert guidance and hands-on support to the Informa Group and Informa's many business teams. Across tech, finance, legal, corporate development, HR, communications, operations and many other areas, we work collaboratively and flexibly to help our brands serve their customers and help the company succeed. Job Description Informa is looking for a solution-oriented, commercially-savvy design leader to join us as Head of Product Design. As our Head of Product Design you will collaborate with product teams across the Customer Technology group, and business stakeholders and end users across Informa. You will ensure that our platforms and products achieve strategic business goals, meet functional needs, and provide exceptional user experiences. Whether designing pixel-perfect interfaces for a B2B media site on mobile or crafting user flows for conference attendees, you will shape and execute the design vision, collaborating closely with development teams in an agile environment. You'll design new digital products and continuously improve existing products to delight users and achieve strategic goals. Work cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and business leaders to define strategic roadmaps and build market-leading products, from concept to launch to ongoing continuous improvement. Uphold design quality and customer experience while staying accountable to business needs and goals. Shape the overall design direction for all of Informa's customer-facing technology, aligning with business goals and user needs. Oversee all aspects of design, including interaction design, information architecture, visual design, and design systems. Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of product designers, developing skills and fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration and curiosity. Establish and continuously refine design processes, tools, and methodologies to ensure efficiency and scalability across projects and teams. Balance leadership and strategy with time spent actively working on key projects, contributing directly to product design work with beautiful, user-centered designs. Advocate for design and the product design team within Informa, presenting and communicating design work to internal leaders and stakeholders. Embed user research, experimentation, testing, and iterative design processes in all design work to validate ideas and improve the user experience and OKRs. Champion customer-centric design thinking across the organization, ensuring that our product roadmaps are driven by real user needs and insights. Qualifications A strong portfolio showcasing your ability to lead and deliver end-to-end product design solutions across platforms, backed by data and user research. Extensive experience designing digital products that have achieved measurable success, both as design leader and as an individual contributor. Demonstrable leadership experience, managing and developing high-performing design teams, helping others reach their potential. Proficient in Figma and other design tools, with a solid understanding of agile methodologies and product management. Action-oriented and able to help others to break big challenges down into manageable and actionable pieces. Excellent communication skills to articulate your design vision and present your ideas effectively to both technical and business stakeholders. An opportunity and solution-based mindset, a curiosity for innovation and a commercial lens through which you see it all. Ability to think at a high level about product strategy and translate it into design goals and values.
