Up to £45,000 per annum Study Group Digital Learning is proud to be delivering an innovative online program for ambitious high-school students in the Middle East. The program is a part-time, digital course designed to provide students in their final years of high school with a comprehensive grounding in the subject knowledge, study skills, and insights they need to make a successful undergraduate university application. The program will be delivered through timetabled synchronous lectures, seminars, and tutorials as well as through engaging asynchronous activities. The Head of Program Maths will provide leadership for the Program Maths team, including line management. The Head will contribute to the delivery of excellent student outcomes, quality assurance and enhancement, and curriculum innovation with strong collaborative working. Reporting to the Program Director, the Head will work closely with senior colleagues within and outside of the Program and be responsible for the delivery of agreed student outcomes. The Head will help design the Program modules, teaching resources, and assessments, and work to achieve Study Group’s strategic vision of being a global leader in international education. The successful candidate will have recent successful line management experience in an academic setting delivering Maths and have proven ability to communicate and engage with multiple stakeholders effectively. The role may include up to 10 hours of timetabled teaching. ABOUT THE ROLE

Contribute to Study Group’s strategic vision and growth through the development of the Program. Communicate our vision to drive forward continuous improvement in the Program Maths modules to achieve the aspirational targets for student outcomes. Contribute to planning and development including human resources; academic development; learning, teaching, and assessment; and academic quality assurance and enhancement in the Program Maths modules. Participate in Program meetings and events as required. Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and identify appropriate actions to solve problems and enhance delivery within the Program and Maths modules. Line manage Program Maths tutors. Provide effective and efficient academic management and coordination of Program Maths staff resources. Ensure the recruitment of staff is planned, timely, and compliant. Ensure that the Program Maths team meets all minimum expectations/compliance in their duties and provide feedback on their performance. Take responsibility for academic standards, the quality of learning opportunities, and the accuracy and completeness of published information in the Program Maths modules. Oversee the effective operation of the Program Maths modules. Oversee Maths modules’ student tracking and data analytics and ensure quality feedback to students. Contribute to analyzing data and feedback from the Program Maths modules. Contribute to reports, analysis, and evaluation for all internal and external scrutiny processes as directed by the Program Director. Gather and report feedback from Program Maths tutors for action. Contribute to delivering the Program Maths modules effectively and efficiently, including teaching up to 10 hours per week. Work closely with the Program team to ensure that students at risk are provided with appropriate support and, where required, timely intervention. Contribute to the delivery and assessment of provision. Support a cost-conscious working environment while delivering a quality service and experience to students. Contribute to ensuring that the Centres are compliant in relation to Safeguarding responsibilities and that staff in the Program are aware of their obligations and requirements. Build relationships within the organization and beyond. Develop close and effective working relations with the Program team and Program partners. ABOUT YOU

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject; a master’s or higher degree is desirable. Relevant Teaching qualification. Experience providing leadership in a complex multi-disciplinary environment, with evidence of success. Experience in teaching Maths in high school, further education, or pathway education settings. Training or experience of teaching Maths to international students (desirable). Experience providing feedback to improve performance positively. Experience in HR duties, such as delivering training and participating in the recruitment process. Ability to delegate activities, set deadlines, and take responsibility for overseeing their successful completion to meet challenging deadlines. Experience in successfully leading internal communication, including disseminating complex messages or changes to operations. Experience working with international students and an understanding of welfare, well-being, and cultural issues which may arise (desirable). Experience in data management and interpretation, and quality assurance. Experience working across, up and down an organization as well as with external partners and both national and international stakeholders. Significant teaching experience within high school, further education, or pathway education settings. Experience in leading, advising, or supporting others to develop curricula. Experience in teaching online and effectively utilizing digital learning tools. ABOUT US
