Head of Projects

to join the

Projects Team

at Thermatic Technical FM. The purpose of this role is to lead, inspire, and manage the Project Division of Thermatic Technical FM in order to deliver safe, quality projects for a national client base. As Head of Projects, you are responsible for the delivery of M&E and building services projects for multiple sectors including retail, healthcare, health and fitness, and construction. You will lead a team of Project Managers, designers, coordinators, and engineers, and be responsible for the continual improvement of the division. Previous leadership experience as a Senior Project Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor, or Head of Projects would be crucial to fulfill this role. Thermatic Technical FM provides complete nationwide coverage across the full spectrum of Hard FM services to large, commercial clients. Our team of mobile engineers is supported by the account teams at Head Office to provide both reactive breakdown and planned maintenance services to our clients. 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Based in our Head Office in Salford, Manchester. Skills, Experience & Qualifications: Experience and in-depth knowledge of commercial contracts including JCT Minor works with and without design, NEC Level 3. Understanding of the RIBA design stages Minimum 5 years experience in the FM or Building Services industry A minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Familiar with CDM 2015 regulations APM-PMQ • Prince 2 Practitioner ILM Level 4 JCT Minor Works or NEC Level 3 Building Contract experience IOSH Managing Safely Risk Assessors Course Proficient in Excel, MS Office, PowerPoint, and computer literate to initiate new technological and automation advances Responsibilities include: Lead the project team and manage the supply chain to deliver client Capital Projects to time, cost, and quality targets and standards. Ensure delivery targets and standards are achieved by actively engaging with the customer to understand and deliver their key objectives. Serve as the escalation point for critical project risks, issues, and scope changes, ensuring timely resolution and alignment with company objectives. Lead the business through technical innovations towards NET Zero and decarbonisation of the built environment. Manage commercial and business risk to achieve targets. Refine and enhance project management processes, frameworks, and methodologies to meet the evolving needs of the business. Play a key role in business development activity for the division.
