It is with great opportunity that Sphere Solutions are currently assisting to recruit a Head of Projects for a development organisation in the heart of Cornwall.

With an investment and development partnership ethos, this organisation is currently on the search for a Head of Projects to join the senior management team.

Reporting to and working alongside the Development Director, the role will oversee the procurement, pre-construction and construction operations for the business, being involved from land acquisition through to handover / aftercare, ensuring the safe delivery of a quality product, within agreed budgets and timescales to achieve excellent customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Take responsibility for overseeing the detailed design, procurement, and construction of all projects, mainly housing with some commercial, with additional support in acquisitions, planning, disposals, and aftercare. Lead, inspire, and manage the project management team, ensuring efficient use of resources to enhance productivity and drive value creation. Accountable for an operational budget of £50m, ensuring site and build costs are controlled and reviewed. In alignment with company values, work collaboratively with the senior management team, driving continuous improvement and best practice.

What you need: Significant experience working within the construction industry, managing complex major projects and multiple project programmes/portfolios. Full project lifecycle knowledge - design, development, procurement, logistics, manufacture & assembly, commissioning and handover. Strong leadership capabilities. Excellent stakeholder management skills. Commercial and financial awareness with experience of contract management on major complex multi-million-pound projects. Demonstrable risk & opportunity management skills. A strong team player, able to offer a 'hands-on' approach. Degree within a construction related discipline with membership of a related profession - desirable.
