With ambitious plans to grow our portfolio of stunning apartments across the UK, we are now recruiting for an exceptional Head of Property Services to join the team. About the role The Head of Property Services will operate at both strategic and operational levels, and responsibilities will increase in line with our continued growth. Working closely with Regional and Area Managers, you will ensure that all property-related matters are dealt with in a cohesive, timely, and efficient manner. The main duties and responsibilities include developing, implementing, and maintaining property management policy, processes, and procedures. With the support of your team, you will oversee planned and reactive maintenance works across our portfolio of over 200 retirement developments nationally. This will require extensive travel across the UK. As Head of Property Services, you will be responsible for Asset Management and planning, and will have the opportunity to help steer and develop a new asset management database. You will take overall responsibility for the national and regional contractor, sub-contractor, and supplier agreements to ensure exceptional quality of work and value for money. The successful applicant will also provide advice and guidance on emergency works and management information regarding property maintenance costs to help inform future service charge budgets and planned maintenance schedules to enhance service levels for Owners. The role will require you to manage a team of Building Surveyors, Contracts Manager, and Property Services Administration. The hours of work are 9.00 am – 5.30 pm, Monday to Thursday, and 9.00 am – 5.00 pm on Friday. About you Our ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent knowledge of construction and property management, educated to HNC/degree level or equivalent in a related property construction or property subject. Ideally, you will have a professional qualification in construction such as RICS or CIOB. Key competencies required for the role include excellent communication skills, organisational attributes, a high standard of technical writing and presentation skills, sound judgment, and professional managerial skills. You will be an experienced team manager, able to harness the skills and qualities of your team who are based both in the office and out in the field.
