We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Head of Psychology to join our highly committed and professional Sixth Form team. The subject of Psychology is central to our growing Sixth Form and Further Education study, and our current lead is on leave for 12 months. The post would suit an experienced practitioner, who is committed to raising standards at all levels; delivering excellent lessons and enthusing pupils and staff through their passion for teaching. This is a full-time post, or potential job share, working at our Sixth Form School from September 2025 through to August 2026 for the initial period. To be successful in this role, you must: Be suitably qualified with QTS in the appropriate age range and experience teaching at KS5. Have a strong desire and the appropriate experience to lead the teaching of Psychology. Develop, maintain and stimulate pupils' curiosity, interest and enjoyment in Psychology. Have great listening skills and mutual respect for all pupils. Be ready to utilise the benefits of an independent curriculum that is innovative and flexible in terms of delivery and content. Engaged with the School's ethos, thinking creatively and reflectively within an open, honest and hardworking team. Above all, you must want the very best for our pupils and be prepared to put their needs first. You recognise the importance of educating the whole student within a broad curricular and co-curricular programme, and of achieving high standards.
