Head of Psychology

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Head of Psychology to join a team in York. As the Head of Psychology, you will be responsible for overseeing the psychology service, including managing a team of psychologists, ensuring the provision of expert assessments and therapeutic interventions, and contributing to the development and delivery of clinical strategies. You will provide strong leadership, ensuring the team delivers optimal care and works collaboratively with other departments to enhance the overall patient experience. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the psychology service, providing strategic direction and day-to-day leadership Oversee the clinical psychology team, ensuring high-quality assessments, interventions, and care planning Develop and implement clinical policies, ensuring evidence-based practices are followed Provide supervision, support, and development opportunities for the psychology team, including junior staff and trainees Conduct psychological assessments and deliver interventions to individuals with complex psychological needs Promote the use of psychological tools and therapies to improve patient outcomes Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated, holistic care for patients Contribute to the development of care pathways and clinical protocols Key Requirements: A Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Forensic Psychology, or equivalent Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration
