This leading manufacturing engineering company based in Gloucestershire has entered a sustained state of growth and business process improvement and as such is seeking to augment the leadership team with an experienced Head of Quality. The Role Reporting to the COO, the Head of Quality will be responsible for leading all aspects of organisational Quality management, including the Quality Management System and compliance to AS9100 Rev D / 9001:2015. They will oversee the quality control of all products through the manufacturing value stream, the testing and validation of all products and the organisation’s adherence to customer specific requirements and standards. This key role will also oversee all aspects of Process Engineering, including production process design and optimisation, tooling management, and production process control design and management. You will manage a team of Senior Engineers, Quality Engineers, Process Engineers, Laboratory Technicians and Inspection teams. The Person As an experienced Quality and Process Leader from a complex manufacturing engineering environment (Aerospace, Defence, Automotive etc), the Head of Quality will be experienced working within AS9100 Rev D / ISO 9001:2015 certification and will have a good knowledge of AS9102 FAIR requirements. You will be experienced in managing inspection and laboratory processes and will have detailed knowledge of the APQP approach, including PPAP and PSW. Experienced in the application of Control Plans, PFMEA tools, time study methodologies such as MOST, Yamazumi charts, and Value Stream Mapping, and the ability to read and interrogate engineering drawings including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. The ability to lead and manage a team of Quality and Process experts while being the face of quality to the customer and supplier base.
