As Head of Quality & Continuous Improvement, you will play a strategic role in defining and executing the quality strategy for our UK Services Division. This

position

covers 15 service centres across the UK (The role involves regular travel to our service centres, spanning from Aberdeen in the North to Southampton in the South) and Nordics (infrequent travel). Leading a dedicated Quality & CI team, you’ll be responsible for embedding a culture of quality and continuous improvement, collaborating with service centre leaders to identify opportunities for process consistency and risk mitigation. Your main tasks and responsibilities: Define and implement a robust quality strategy aligned with Sulzer’s goals. Drive standardisation across service centres and address quality-related risks. Act as the senior escalation point for quality issues and design a clear escalation matrix. Oversee adherence to ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards, including internal and external audits. Introduce cutting-edge quality control methods to improve accuracy and efficiency. Deliver training on quality tools and problem-solving techniques, fostering leadership capability. Lead supply chain risk assessments and supplier audit programmes. Embed continuous improvement practices across locations, inspiring proactive solutions. To succeed in this role, you will need:

Proven success in a senior quality role with strategic responsibilities within an engineering or manufacturing environment. Strong ability to deliver actionable solutions and drive measurable improvements. Comprehensive understanding of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001, with lead auditor certification. Practical experience in implementing and leading Lean Six Sigma initiatives. Excellent communication and influencing skills to engage teams across multiple sites. Flexibility for regular UK travel and a Full UK Driving Licence. A passport is also required for infrequent Nordic travel.
