Head of Estates – Wiltshire/Hybrid

As Head of Estates, you will lead and manage a team of functional specialists to deliver an estate that is fit for purpose, compliant, safe, and secure. You will manage specialists both in-house and outsourced service providers. This is a demanding role where you will work closely with the Head of Operational Delivery, Head, and Deputy Head of Establishment (HOE/DHOE) to ensure that the portfolio of demand is visible and effectively prioritised, building and implementing an Estates Strategy and long-term site plan.
You will build strong relationships with internal customers as well as external stakeholders in the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and wider defence, local and central government. Providing a 'facilities as a service' under a landlord-tenant model, you will work with the DHOE to allocate facilities, understanding the availability, condition, and capability.
Person specification
You will have:
Expertise in building engineering, Facility Management, or a closely related subject.
A strong understanding of property industry trends, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics.
Experience managing complex and substantial Facilities Management and Estates activities.
Experience managing third-party suppliers and budgets of £25M.
Higher membership of a relevant professional body.
