The role will be varied and will adapt over time as the Recovery & Transformation programme develops. The postholder is expected to fulfil the following key functions: Programme Management Office

The post holder will be responsible for: Developing the project management approach, governance, reporting and monitoring framework across the Recovery and Transformation programme, which effectively supports the operation and function of the ICB mental health recovery & transformation programme. Building a common set of project management tools (PIDs, project plans, and report templates), practices, and principles for managing results-driven projects. Embedding the system PMO Operating Model into everyday practice. Leading the programme to improve the quality, consistency, and oversight of projects and programmes, including identifying and mitigating key risks to delivery. Ensuring the mental health team delivers effective and high-functioning programme management capabilities to drive delivery of defined and agreed priorities. Effective deployment of programme management resources to target priority areas and the overriding requirements of the Recovery & Transformation programme. Identifying interdependencies between projects and recommending actions to prioritise/revisit priorities to ensure delivery of best added value. This will entail working with highly complex data, facts, and situations requiring analysis, interpretation, and comparisons of a range of options and making decisions on the most appropriate approach. Analysing and interpreting a range of highly complex, sensitive, or contentious information regarding projects. This will involve consideration of data and information from several sources that may be in conflict. Providing and presenting highly complex, detailed, and potentially sensitive information to key senior stakeholders, including Executive/Board level colleagues. Working with Project Teams across LSC to ensure that project documentation meets the necessary quality standards to support effective delivery. Ensuring all learning points from the projects are captured and the learning and good practice is used to support ongoing delivery success. Providing timely progress and exception reports on the status of projects to the Director of Mental Health. Leading on the design and implementation of the PMO reporting and governance process for the mental health programme, including developing a robust risk management approach and benefits realisation capture tools. Supporting the Director of Mental Health to undertake regular project assessments, check-and-challenge sessions, and audits of all programmes to support the necessary scale and pace of delivery, as well as identifying risks to delivery. Acting as the lead advisor to the Mental Health Director on programme management and delivery. Working closely and collaboratively with the leaders and leadership teams from across the system, including clinical leaders and wider partners. Building strong relationships through excellent engagement and involvement to influence and drive delivery. Providing leadership and expert advice in programme management across the LSC ICS and strategic oversight of programme delivery. Values, Behaviours, and Integrity

Manage, motivate, inspire, and develop staff within the team to ensure that they are able to deliver their objectives. Systems and Equipment

Responsible for laptop, mobile phone, and other equipment assigned as part of requirements for the role. The main duties and responsibilities described above are not exhaustive, and the post holder may be expected to work in an agile way dependent on system requirements and may be asked to take on other responsibilities or specific tasks as required and requested. Further, over time, it is likely the remit and requirements of the role will evolve, and the post holder will be required to adjust their working approach and style to accommodate this with the full support of line managers.
