for the UK's leading arts and crafts retailer Hobbycraft!

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to step into a pivotal leadership role and make a significant impact as part of the Hobbycraft Finance Team.

About the Role As the Head of Reporting and FP&A, you will report to the Head of Finance and collaborate closely with the CFO and Head of Commercial Finance. Your role will be to lead a team of three management accountants and oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of three management accountants, ensuring accurate and timely outputs. Manage the financial reporting, period-end close process and deliver insightful management accounts and MI packs for Board review. Coordinate and consolidate the annual budget and mid-year re-forecast, working with stakeholders across the business. Conduct regular and ad-hoc analysis to support decision-making, such as profitability assessments, cost evaluations, and business case preparation. Stakeholder engagement, partnering with senior business leaders to manage expenditure and ensure alignment with financial goals.

About You We are seeking a finance professional with a proven track record of success in financial reporting and team leadership. You will bring: Full accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA). Advanced Excel skills and experience working with complex financial models. Strong background in period-end processes, budgeting, and financial analysis. Demonstrable ability to lead and develop a team. Commercial mindset, analytical and solutions-focused, with a proactive approach to delivering insights.

Desirable:

Experience in consumer-facing or multi-site industries is advantageous.
