Permanent Full Time - Start September 2025 An exciting opportunity has arisen for a well-qualified and dynamic Head of Rugby to join our thriving sports department at Prior Park College, an exceptional 11-18 HMC senior school set in a stunning 57-acre estate overlooking beautiful Bath, a UNESCO World Heritage Centre. The Head of Rugby at Prior Park College will take responsibility for management and running of our strong vibrant rugby programme, including promoting the sport for both boys and girls and developing strong links with the Paragon School and other schools in the surrounding areas. These should be carried out to the highest standard to ensure the all-round quality of education for students at Prior Park College. The successful candidate will have experience of the England Rugby Performance Pathway and will be able to coach additional sports, ideally hockey, athletics, tennis, netball, or cricket. The Head of Rugby will be expected to contribute fully to the wider co-curricular and boarding life of the school, including Saturday fixtures during term time, as well as pre-season training and UK/international tours. The role would suit an individual with coaching experience and a Level 2 or 3 Rugby Qualification, along with strong organisational and communication skills. We offer excellent working conditions with an attractive rewards package to include free lunch and free onsite parking plus use of onsite gym. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Applicants must undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the school is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are “spent” unless they are “protected” under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children. To apply for a position with Prior Park Educational Trust, we ask that the candidates download and complete an application form, also available from our website: https://www.priorparkcollege.com/pps-vacancies For further details, please contact Emma, HR on 01225 835385 or recruitment@priorparkschools.com Closing date for applications 12:00 Wednesday 15 January 2025. Interview date Tuesday 28 January 2025. The School reserves the right to withdraw the position if an early appointment is made. Applicants are therefore encouraged to apply early.
