Head of Safety - (Restraints, Steering Wheel & Seating)

to join our rapidly growing team. Reporting to our

Director of Body Engineering,

you will be accountable for the technical & programme delivery of the business safety strategy, safety planning and relevant commodities. You will be involved with managing a matrix organization structure of vehicle line managers, functional project managers, engineering managers, SME, CAD & project engineers in a consistent QCD programme delivery approach. This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity from our planned Bicester location and/or one of our offices near Guildford or Leamington Spa. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field. What you’ll do Acts a key member of the body engineering leadership team Responsible for the consistent and co-ordinated delivery of Safety & associated commodities – technical & programme Responsibility for managing for functional and vehicle budgets Delivering the creation of key work packages and task based delivery Managing the delivery of work packages & tasks of external resources Leading and building a world class engineering team Leading and managing business Safety strategy and forums Who you are Technical experience in delivering vehicle safety & safety systems (passive & active safety) Experience in commodity delivery, Airbags, Restraints, Steering wheel, Seating Experience of a similar role (Senior Manager, Engineering Manager, Head of Department, Engineering Director) Program or project management experience and training Vehicle delivery concept to production Supplier and/or external partner management People management, HR management, people development in large teams Engineering degree or equivalent experience ideally About Us Forseven is building something new.
