Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Head of Sales will oversee the maintenance of a robust order book and a healthy sales pipeline by securing new business opportunities and personally managing key accounts. In addition to driving their own sales performance, this role includes inspiring and empowering the Sales team to achieve their KPIs. Maintaining exceptional client relationships will be critical, achieved through effective management of both Internal and External Sales functions, as well as the direct handling of high-volume accounts. Duties will include: Create sales plans and quotas in alignment with business objectives Generate sales in line with the plans to increase market share Utilise a strong business network to increase sales/revenue both in person and via social media channels Work with the Marketing Manager to develop and deliver the marketing strategy for MBP Develop and maintain good relationships with Operations team in order to better serve our customers Weekly reporting on Company sales results versus target Prepare Monthly commentary for inclusion in the Group Board report Lead Monthly Sales Team meetings in York Head office Prepare and review the annual budget for the area of responsibility Utilise and develop our CRM system, with particular focus on customer visit outcomes and next steps Setting KPIs for the Sales team and delivering against own targets/ company goals Analyse regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth Address potential problems and suggest prompt solutions Suggest new services/products and innovative sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction Serve as the point of contact for stakeholders in the region Who We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the stone fabrication industry and a proven track record in operating across national retailers and high-end, specialist independent retailers. The role requires frequent travel, including overnight stays, as it involves field visits with their team, meetings at national retailers' locations, attendance at Head Office meetings and at trade shows. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Have an excellent understanding of KBB supply chain and strong industry connections Understand merchandising and marketing requirements Ability to measure and analyse key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs) Strong IT skills Be familiar with CRM software Understand the production challenges and work with the team to resolve issues Has the ability to read and generate reports and market analyses Excellent communication skills and strong negotiation ability The ability to get on well with all levels within a team Strong organisational skills with a problem-solving attitude Robust listening, presentation, and decision-making skills Availability to travel as needed Conversant with business social media channels On Offer:
