We are currently recruiting for a Head of Services who: Is an experienced senior manager Is forward thinking, creative and proactive Will uphold people’s human rights and ensure services are built around them Is passionate about ensuring people are living a life that is right for them We currently provide services in Newcastle, Swindon, Sussex and the Midlands with our Head Office being located in Plymouth. The successful candidate will need to be willing to travel to these locations occasionally. About us We support adults and young people with Learning Disabilities and Autism who can display behaviours of concern, to live in their own homes in the community. We believe: Everyone should have deep, caring and meaningful relationships in their life Everyone has the right to develop and grow Everyone has the right to a safe place to live that they can call home A service should be designed around the person Creativity and thinking outside of the box is paramount to developing bespoke services for people Responsibilities What you will be doing Overseeing the service delivery for people within the organisation Providing effective support and supervision with SMART actions and development goals to the Area and Registered Managers Ensuring all practices in our regulated services meet the expected standards of CQC Be the nominated individual for the organisation Implementing documentation to support the compliance of all services Reviewing organisational continuity and risk plans Supporting organisational growth by leading transitions for people who are going to be moving into their own home with their own team Continually working with professionals and families in regard to developing and maintaining services that meet the persons needs and wants Implementing safeguarding procedures and ensuring these are followed Attending multidisciplinary meetings and promoting practices that are right for the people we support and will keep them safe Developing and implementing policies and procedures to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the organisation Ensuring positive risk is taken and managed appropriately Continually learning and reflecting to enhance own development Initiating new strategies to improve the organisation About you You will: Have experience in supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs Be confident in leading, motivating and inspiring a team of people Have a good knowledge and experience of PBS practices and promote person-centred services Be able to adapt systems and processes to make them work for the people we support Have an understanding of business development and strategic planning Be able to build good relationships and communicate effectively Be trustworthy, honest and reliable Be able to reflect on your practice Have great organisational and IT skills Be confident when communicating with professionals and compassionate when communicating with families Be confident and competent in delivering the organisational induction module What you will need NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent 3 years’ experience of working within and leading supported living services A driver’s license and access to a car Experience of working at senior management level Why join our team?
