Head of Software - Sheffield (Hybrid) - £85-90k

Ada Meher are currently partnering with a client based in Sheffield who are looking for a Head of Software to aid them in addressing some delivery challenges and maturing processes across their Desktop and Web Development teams, on a hybrid remote basis. This will involve oversight over 3 teams, working across .NET/WPF on the Desktop side and PHP/Laravel/AWS on the Web side, hosted on AWS. There is no need for expertise in both of these disciplines, rather a strong background in either coupled with demonstrable technical leadership experience and an understanding of the other.
The company is looking for a candidate who has experience leading multiple teams in a more strategic role, aligning the longer-term roadmap for the business and the technology teams. As a business that has experienced a strong growth period, they are looking at maturing their processes to ensure future success and are looking for a candidate who can lead that change.
In terms of working flexibility, the company employs a fully flexible hours policy, allowing employees to complete their responsibilities and tasks around their life commitments, not the other way around. However, given the nature of the role, they are looking for someone local to Sheffield who is able to be in the office a few days a month.
