and delivers the right outcomes for customers, communities, and colleagues. We're looking for the right person to join us in GS&SM as a Head of Sourcing and Supplier Management Framework. You'll be leading the team who manage support and continually improve the framework for optimal end-to-end supplier lifecycle management. This role will give you the opportunity to lead a dynamic team, engaging closely with a wide range of colleagues as well as external customers including peer organisations and regulatory bodies. You’ll be someone who loves a challenge and is able to balance keeping the group and our customers safe, whilst enabling pace of delivery and competitive advantage for the organisation, meeting current and future business priorities. What you’ll do Own the strategy for the Sourcing and Supplier Management framework, to ensure our businesses can safely go faster with their complex and diverse portfolio of suppliers as an extension of our group to deliver innovation and excellent products and services to our customers. Lead the approach to

managing downstream supplier risk

associated with all stages of the supplier lifecycle, whether that sits with 4th parties or further down the supply chain. Monitor performance of existing framework to drive continuous improvement.

Help LBG colleagues balance pace and risk when sourcing third party goods and services. Use a data-driven approach to manage ongoing performance and user experience, whilst continually improving productivity and effectiveness. Drive customer centric prioritisation

of change activity, innovating and leveraging agile methodology. Own Sourcing and Supplier Management Products ensuring delivery of a positive user experience through features, journeys and technology components. Develop

strong executive stakeholder partnerships

throughout the organisation and externally to ‘bring the outside in’ and ensure best practice is embedded into all interactions with 3rd parties. Understand and integrate customer needs and emerging regulatory requirements into the framework. Lead, inspire and engage

a large and diverse workforce to achieve the business strategy. Develop

SME (Subject Matter Expert) knowledge

in the team. Inspire people and get their full commitment to deliver the extraordinary through

and providing transparent, authentic leadership. What you’ll need Procurement and supply chain management expertise

with strong experience across a breadth of product or service categories. Experience of relevant

methodologies and ideally professional accreditation

such as SIPOC, CIPS, agile delivery etc. Experienced in the

creation

and ongoing

maintenance

of

sourcing and supplier management frameworks, policy ,

processes, and procedures.

Experience of delivering within a risk management framework, and associated guidance and training materials. Experienced in applying

critical thinking

and structured communication to tackle complex problems. Experience developing

long and short-term strategic objectives , ensuring the organisation's performance management framework is aligned with the desired culture. A background of

delivering successfully across complex projects , on time, within budget, and to a high standard. Experience in creating

high performing teams

and mobilising them to deliver solutions in

demanding timescales . You'll be part of a great team. We have colleagues predominantly located across core hubs in the UK: Edinburgh, Bristol, Halifax, London and Birmingham. You’ll find that you’ll split your time typically during the week between home and your nearest hub. Ad hoc travel to other core hubs across the UK for team collaboration and external engagements will also be required.
