Head of Spanish

to join a well-established school in Tunbridge Wells on a permanent basis, starting in

January 2024 . This is an exciting opportunity to lead and inspire a thriving Modern Foreign Languages department, fostering a love for Spanish among students and guiding them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, develop, and manage the Spanish department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning. Design and implement a curriculum that inspires and challenges students of all abilities. Support and mentor colleagues within the department, promoting a collaborative and innovative teaching environment. Monitor and evaluate student progress, implementing effective strategies to enhance outcomes. Be an active member of the school's leadership team, contributing to the strategic direction and development of the school.

The Ideal Candidate:

A qualified teacher with

QTS

and a

degree in Spanish

or a related field. Proven experience teaching Spanish at both Key Stage 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable). Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff. A passion for languages and a commitment to promoting cultural awareness. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
