Our core business activities are teaching and learning, widening access to education, research and innovation and technology and knowledge transfer. - THE ROLE - The Head of Strategic Marketing will lead a team of 10 with direct line management of 2 Strategic Marketing Managers and a CRM Officer. The postholder will lead the most significant commercially focused function within the Marketing & Student Recruitment Directorate. The postholder will be an expert Marketeer, who exemplifies a strong partnership approach, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and demonstrating a practical, purposeful, 'can-do' attitude. They will be highly commercial, customer-centric and capable of inspiring and leading a small team to deliver challenging objectives. - ABOUT YOU - You will lead the development and delivery of an overarching integrated Strategic Marketing Plan to support the achievement of the full range of University goals under People, Place and Partnerships. You will lead, mentor and support the team to design and embed Matrix Working Groups as a key way of working, to deepen engagement and positive working relationships across Faculties and wider University stakeholders, finding agreements, removing barriers, and supporting collaboration and co-operation. You will lead the development of a robust approach to market research and MI including business scorecards and appropriate regular reporting.
