Your new company You will be working for a global manufacturing business, specialising in the design, production and distribution of bespoke and technical products. The company is looking for an experienced Head of Supply Chain and Procurement to play a central role in the growth and development of the group's two key brands. Your new role In this role you will lead the development and implementation of procurement and supply chain strategies to enhance efficiency, cost savings, compliance, and risk mitigation. Build and maintain strong relationships with global and local suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring performance through regular evaluations and audits. Oversee demand forecasting, inventory control, and scheduling to balance just-in-time delivery with safety stock, implementing systems to maintain optimal stock levels. Report directly to the CEO, leading a high-performing team, setting performance targets, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate new products and partners, supporting cross-functional initiatives. Proactively manage global supply chain disruptions and adapt sourcing strategies to market trends. Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards, promoting sustainable sourcing practices. Prepare and manage the procurement and supply chain budget, providing regular performance reports and overseeing logistics partnerships. What you'll need to succeed The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of experience in supply chain management, inventory systems, or a related field, with a proven track record of managing complex supply chain operations and driving cost-saving initiatives. They must demonstrate the ability to work independently and as an effective team member, possess strong negotiation and supplier management skills, and exhibit excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in supply chain software and ERP systems is essential, along with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. The candidate should be a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, strong leadership and team-building abilities, and must hold a full UK driving licence. Industry specific knowledge and experience of textiles, workwear, and the manufacturing of clothing is desired. CPIM, CSCP, and CILT accreditations are also advantageous. What you'll get in return For this role you will receive a permanent contract alongside an annual salary of £70,000 - £85,000 DOE. You will also receive a hybrid company car and additional expenses paid for any business travel. There is also a discretionary annual bonus.
