Anderson Knight is currently recruiting a Head of Supply Chain for one of our clients based in Edinburgh. The Head of Supply Chain will lead the entire supply chain function, which includes procurement, inventory management, logistics, production planning, and distribution. This key role is responsible for ensuring that supply chain operations are efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality, meeting the organisation's business goals and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have strong strategic, analytical, and leadership skills, with a proven track record in optimising supply chains, managing costs, and fostering strong relationships with suppliers and customers. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the supply chain strategy in line with the organisation’s business objectives. Design and implement both short- and long-term supply chain plans focused on efficiency, agility, and resilience. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve supply chain performance. Oversee demand forecasting, inventory planning, and stock management to ensure product availability. Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and production teams to align supply with demand. Manage logistics to ensure timely, efficient product delivery to customers. Optimise distribution networks, transportation routes, and warehousing to improve service levels and reduce costs. Implement risk management strategies to address potential disruptions in logistics and distribution. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure high-quality, reliable materials and services. Negotiate favorable terms and agreements with suppliers to meet targets for cost, quality, and delivery. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team focused on continuous improvement and innovation. Set objectives and evaluate team performance, promoting cross-functional collaboration to meet supply chain goals. Identify opportunities for process improvement to increase efficiency and reduce costs across the supply chain. Monitor budgets and expenses to keep supply chain activities within financial targets. Ensure all supply chain activities comply with relevant regulations, including safety, environmental, and trade standards. Proactively manage risks across the supply chain, preparing contingency plans for potential disruptions. Key Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus. Experience: 8-10+ years in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field, with 3-5 years in a senior leadership role. Proven experience managing and optimising complex supply chains.
