Role Profile Cast UK is supporting an established and growing business in their recruitment for a Head of Supply Chain & Logistics to join the team based in Plymouth. In this varied role, you'll have responsibility for overseeing inbound supply chain and global delivery of product to a variety of customers. Reporting to the Director, you will lead the purchasing, logistics and warehouse team, ensuring stock and budgetary optimisation. Key Responsibilities Effective leadership, management and development of the wider supply chain function, providing mentorship and offering advice to help improve. Analyse supply chain functions and metrics, proactively seeking to implement initiatives to optimise performance. Lead the sales of operational planning processes, working collaboratively with other business functions such as sales and production to achieve KPI's. Manage global logistics function, including strategic management of 3PL relationships with focus on process improvement and excellent service levels. Drive improvement of supplier performance, ensuring quality of product meets & exceeds expectations. Negotiate supplier agreements with both existing and new suppliers, working closely with procurement to analyse data and prepare relevant reports with focus on raw material costs. Optimise inventory management techniques to effectively manage working capital. Ensure business compliance with relevant legislation. Key Skills Proven experience working at Head of Supply Chain level, with background of global supplier & customer base. Demonstrable experience managing 3PL's, including scorecard management and improving performance. P&L management with strong commercial acumen. Excellent knowledge of MRP/ERP; SAP would be advantageous. Data-driven mindset with ability to problem solve effectively. Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal.
