A well-known brand is recruiting a Head of Supply Chain. This is an exciting end-to-end supply chain opportunity encompassing procurement (tactical and category), supplier management, logistics, and warehousing, with a total spend of £120m.
The Head of Supply Chain will be responsible for developing and implementing the supply chain strategy across Procurement, Warehousing, and Logistics to ensure an effective supply chain offering for colleagues and end users. The Head of Supply Chain will have six direct reports, including Senior Category Managers, a Procurement Operations Manager, and a Warehouse & Logistics Manager, with a wider indirect team of approximately 65. Now is an exciting time to join the function in what is a new role with a mandate to drive change and improve processes.
Specific duties of the Head of Supply Chain include:
Develop procurement capability; category management, purchasing, and supplier management
Design and deliver an optimized fulfillment model for production and spares
Promote the use and invest in supply chain analytics to help drive decision-making
Mitigate risk by ensuring supply chain staff receive training and are aware of compliance/H&S requirements
Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the supply chain function
Head of Supply Chain applicants should meet the following criteria:
Experience in a supply chain or procurement leadership role, managing multi-discipline teams
Experience in the marine, manufacturing, engineering, or non-profit sectors
Capable of driving change and/or experience of functional transformation
A strategist, capable of seeing the 'big picture'
A qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Logistics
