The Role A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Head of Supply Chain to work in our facility in Severn Beach. The purpose of this role is to lead the supply chain & customer service function ensuring we deliver excellent service to our customers, while also ensuring production planning and stock levels are managed efficiently and within the constraints set by the business. Main responsibilities: Lead the Supply Chain and customer service function ensuring processes are based on best practice. Challenge and resolve supply chain issues and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to prioritise Service Level where possible. Ensure that new products are launched in accordance with timelines, through communication with internal and external stakeholders, and by ensuring Supply Chain processes are adhered to. Optimise and manage stock levels to balance cash invested, customer service levels and operational efficiency. Continue to develop and automate the forecasting and planning function in conjunction with both sales and operations. Advise the business on production capacity issues and to work closely with the Head of Production to develop solutions to overcoming capacity pinch points. Develop customer & supplier relationships to ensure efficient and proactive communications between the business and the external stakeholders. Establish and implement continuous process improvement by monitoring customer interactions and by obtaining direct customer feedback on the standards of service delivered by Bart Ingredients. Implement and oversee the production of management reports to identify process improvements, analyse customer service activity, productivity, key performance indicators and best practice across all departmental functions. Develop a learning and development culture where teamwork, empowerment and trust are encouraged through coaching, performance measurement and people development to meet the organizations visions and values whilst maintaining superior customer service standards. Person specification/Qualifications/Capabilities: High attention to detail Hours and location of work: The hours for this role are 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday with a salary of up to £51,500.
