The Role: We are looking for a Head of Tax Advisory to lead and develop the tax offering on behalf of the firm wide. Working with predominantly Owner Managed Businesses across the region the role will provide advisory support on a wide range of tax issues and leading a small team of advisors. Covering both corporate tax and private client work you will be responsible for working on a range of tax advisory projects alongside the team. You will be actively contributing to business development, attending various events across the region, meeting new clients and representing the firm for all tax matters. You will play lead role within the firm on behalf of tax, ensuring delivery of the service lines strategic plan as well as it’s financial performance and growth plan. Experience required: We are looking for an existing Senior Manager or Director who is leading or plays an active leadership role in either private client tax or corporate tax as a service line, both in terms of advisory services and business generation. You will be goal-driven, pro-active and focused on achieving solutions for your clients. We are looking for an outgoing individual who enjoys creating relationships and connecting with others regularly. Strong technical advisory knowledge in your area of expertise is essential, either Private Client, Corporate or both would be an advantage. At the least you must demonstrate broad general tax knowledge. Advisory projects you will contribute to will include; corporate transactions, M&A, property transactions, reconstructions & demergers, share schemes and EIS/SEIS, succession and exit planning, efficient share structures, dividend planning, shareholder tax planning, estate planning, trusts, IHT, CGT, non-dom. Previous experience with leading a team (motivation and recognition), from strategy, process improvement, training and mentorship, to rolling your sleeves up when required to ensure priorities are managed and work delivered. Able to work productively around others and able to collaborate on team projects whilst being comfortable working independently too.
