Who You Are: You are the Head of Technical Accounting for the Financial Department, responsible for all the accounting operations. What You’ll Do: Technical accounting expert within the Group
Serve as the subject matter expert within the Group for all accounting judgements and complexities, with a particular focus on:
Revenue accounting applying IFRS 15 to complex customer contracts Accounting for capital projects applying IAS 16/38 Accounting for the Group’s M&A activity, including acquisition accounting and accounting for divestments.
Provide accounting advisory with commercial, operational, and other teams in advance of contracts being agreed to advise on accounting implications of proposed agreements. Prepare accounting analysis to serve as the Group’s accounting papers to justify and support the Group’s accounting conclusions.
Ownership of accounting policies of the Eutelsat Group
Maintain and update the Group Consolidation Manual Lead on the evaluation and assessment of the Group’s accounting policies in response to changes in accounting standards and other developments.
Managing and working effectively with external advisors and auditors
Proactively and effectively manage external auditors (including where relevant across the Group’s global jurisdictions). Where relevant, manage and work productively with the Group’s external advisors.
Contribute to the production of the Group’s external reporting, including annual and interim financial statements
Provide technical guidance on reporting requirements, including in relation to information required for disclosure in the financial statements.
What it Takes: 8+ years of experience in accounting in an international environment Master's degree in finance / accounting / economics Ability to work under pressure Strong communication and presentation skills working with multiple peer groups and levels of management Where You’ll Be:
