I am currently recruiting for a leading Lloyd's Syndicate who are seeking a Head of Underwriting Controls & Performance to join their growing team on a 12 month contract basis.
My client is looking for someone with exceptional experience within Underwriting Controls and DUA Management. This role will cover multiple areas including Underwriting Controls & Oversight, Performance Management, Syndicate Capital Management, DUA Operations & more. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years experience. Key Responsibilities Establishing, developing, and embedding underwriting processes and protocols Continuous monitoring of underwriting metrics Managing review of underwriting processes and procedures Maintaining knowledge and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements Supporting and championing change to improve underwriting efficiency Managing underwriting governance meetings Managing reporting and IT developments for underwriting Oversight of data and analytics points Establishing, maintaining, and developing underwriting performance and analytics Managing pricing tool developments with Chief Actuary and Managing Director Supporting Managing Director in Syndicated Capital Management capacity Managing integration of SCM agreements within underwriting governance Providing underwriting insight for project teams Liaising with credit-control team for oversight of aged debt Managing third-party delegated underwriting operations and offshore team Developing and embedding DUA processes and protocols Overseeing and managing project-related activities for third-party DUA Building strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
