Head of Used Vehicle Performance

to oversee and optimise our used vehicle operations across our multi-site network in the South of England. About Us:

As

Head of Used Vehicle Performance , you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive profitability, optimise stock management, and enhance customer satisfaction in the used vehicle market. Reporting directly to the Commercial Operations Director, you will have a small team working together to ensure you drive profitability through effective buying, preparation, and sales processes for both cars and commercial vehicles. The Accountabilities:

Stock Management:

Oversee stock acquisition, distribution, and management processes to balance inventory levels and maximise profitability. Team Leadership:

Inspire and motivate your team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence among high-performing colleagues. Strategic Leadership:

Develop and implement business and pricing strategies to grow used vehicle sales, profitability, and market share. Working Capital Control:

Manage stock investment levels to ensure optimal working capital utilisation. Vehicle Preparation:

Oversee the preparation of used vehicles to ensure compliance with required standards and high standards of vehicle presentation. Market Dynamics and Online Publishing:

Leverage insights from Autotrader and other online platforms to understand market trends, and adjust accordingly. Stakeholder Engagement:

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, OEM Partners, and suppliers. Market Analysis:

Stay ahead of market trends, customer behaviours, and competitor activity to inform decision-making and strategy. About You:

To succeed as

Head of Used Vehicle Performance

you will need: Proven experience in a leadership role within the automotive used vehicle sector or related industry. A strong track record of delivering commercial success and operational excellence. Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to use data to inform decisions and drive results. Outstanding leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop teams. A customer-focused mindset, with a passion for delivering an exceptional experience. Excellent communication and relationship building skills. Strong commercial acumen and a good understanding of the used vehicle market. What We Offer:
