Head of Wigs, Hair and Make-up

to work on the London production of STRANGER THINGS: THE FIRST SHADOW. Written by Kate Trefry, an original story by the Duffer Brothers, Jack Thorne and Kate Trefry, directed by Stephen Daldry, co-directed by Justin Martin for the Phoenix Theatre and produced by Netflix and Sonia Friedman Productions - this new play has taken the West End by storm. Responsibilities

Candidates should demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to manage the Wigs, Hair and Make-Up department. Candidates should be able to work calmly and efficiently under pressure as well as having strong organisational and time management qualities to ensure that the production runs efficiently and smoothly. Ideally they will have previous experience on large scale productions, and will have experience in a Head of Department role. Technical Skills Required

Technical skills required include excellent: wig dressing, makeup application and knowledge of makeup. Candidates should be trained in styling Afro-textured hair and have good knowledge and understanding of protective hairstyles, as well as having experience of barbering. Desirable candidates will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of prosthetic application and products. Experience

Experience on a large-scale production is essential. Additional Information

Fixed term for a year from start date, then the contract will be rolling. Weekly Hours:
