This is a fantastic opportunity to join our central Workplace Team as the Head of Workplace Advisory. You will lead and inspire our Advisory function, working with a small team and third-party specialists.
The ISS Head of Workplace Advisory will play a critical role in shaping the future ISS workplace services across our client’s portfolios. The successful candidate will have an excellent eye for detail, be able to effectively deliver timely communication, inspire and empower, and build excellent working relationships with all client teams and the business.
They will have sound knowledge of workplace strategy, experience, and design and demonstrate a good understanding of client and stakeholder management. The individual will play a key role as an interface between projects, workspace, and account management.
Job Description
As the Head of Workplace Advisory, you will have a strong knowledge and passion for Workplace Strategy, Experience, Design, and Technology, as well as an ability to deploy, track, and measure solutions through advanced project management skills.
You will be able to introduce the correct level of project management controls and become hands-on in the operational delivery of workplace experiences into our wider business operation.
You will need to be an ambassador for change and have a track record of successfully delivering transformational workplace programmes in complex organisations. You will also be responsible for driving innovation through the way we work to support our overall workplace and colleague experiences.
This is a hands-on role where you will be working closely with our account teams. You will need to be a self-starter who can operate independently while delivering in a true team environment responding to dynamic and emerging needs, changing requirements, and key user and stakeholder feedback.
Your own Workplace experience will be instrumental in engaging with the client and giving them confidence that you are able to take them on a journey.
Key Responsibilities
To create, develop, and implement future workplace strategy for our clients.
To develop service designs that complement technology, hybrid working, and varying physical office typologies and uses.
To collaborate with key consultants to support the delivery of our advisory services.
To create, design, implement, and review various pilot programs and new initiatives across workplace delivery driving continuous improvement.
To work with non-account SME expertise and ensure best practice learnings are continually captured and introduced at a local level.
To engage wider stakeholders and ensure optimal buy-in into the workplace strategy.
To work with client design teams and project leads to anticipate future service experience needs.
To bring strategy ‘to life’ through progressive definition and operational implementation.
To manage senior customer and stakeholder relationships.
To produce Service Fulfilment Plans, Operational Playbooks, Standard Operating Procedures, and Training documents.
To provide direction, inspiration, content, and guidance to the Workplace contract teams in relation to workplace products, concepts, and services.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Previous experience in Workplace Management is essential.
Previous experience in a Transition Manager or Project Lead role is preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes including Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills.
Good analytical skills with an aptitude for solving problems.
Strong customer and client focus.
Supplier/Vendor management – must have experience of managing suppliers or vendors in a similar type of environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
