About the Role

To be the Head of Year and support the education, development, welfare, and safety of students. To be the first point of call for students, staff, parents, and visitors in regards to the year group. To take responsibility for the implementation of PSHE to the year group. To assist in behaviour management strategies and the smooth implementation of the behaviour policy (including the manning of reflection, on call, and patrol). To work with the attendance team to improve attendance in your year group. To monitor individual students’ needs and report to the Assistant Headteacher as applicable. To liaise with SLT, SENCO, and external agencies in order to coordinate areas of support as appropriate.
