About the role:
Promote Pupil Success and Motivation:
The Head of Year is responsible for equipping students with the necessary skills to maximise their learning potential and fostering motivation for success across the year group. Managing Pupil Progress and Behaviour:
Accountability for overseeing pupil attendance, punctuality, behaviour, and preparedness for lessons, ensuring these standards align with the set targets and promoting positive outcomes. Collaboration and Safeguarding:
Work closely with the Leadership Team and other staff to implement college policies, promote core values, and ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all students within the year group.
The Ideal Candidate will:
Consistently demonstrate the ability to enthuse and motivate young people; to show compassion and empathy; and the determination and discipline that is needed to support all students to thrive. Have a desire to ensure support, opportunity and challenge is available for all students under their care. Demonstrate excellent teamwork, organisation and attention to detail. Guide and support other staff to achieve the school's goal of ensuring every child can succeed.
