This Head Nurse Vacancy in Teddington, London would suit a veterinary nurse with a couple of years of experience who is ready to step up to their first Head Nurse position. The successful candidate will be the only RVN at the moment, working alongside a very experienced Lead Vet and an experienced PCA.
The practice sees an even split of cats and dogs as well as some exotics.
They are a well-equipped, first opinion practice capable of providing quality first opinion work, including digital x-ray and ultrasound.
The role will involve: Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team. Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients. Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity. Lead, manage and promote nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 surgeries. Deliver patient monitoring and care. Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team. Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care. Dispense and check medication. Deliver professional excellence, implementing and complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards. Inspire your team, sharing new or evolving practice standards and changes to processes. Engage, coach, and develop your team.
