Head Vet (Salary up to £70K per annum DOE) - Haven Veterinary Surgeons Haven Veterinary Surgeons are looking for a Head Vet! My name is Nicola Jacobs, and I have worked at Haven Vets over the last 30 years, progressing to my current role as practice director. I am looking for Haven's new Head Vet. I am looking for a caring and compassionate leader who wants to work alongside me to progress and mentor our hard working team. The team at Haven are dedicated, empathetic and committed to serving our community and their pets. As practice director, I will support you to build relationships with the team, to implement changes to improve our clinical care, and to grow your own skills and knowledge. I want to share my ideas for growing the practice and listen to yours and work together to deliver a strong future for Haven Vets. As a leader, I want you to bring energy and enthusiasm along with confidence and professionalism and be able to share this with the team and clients. You should have a genuine desire to support and promote learning in your fellow vets. I am looking for someone who prides themselves on providing great leadership and coaching to their own teams coupled with a consistently high level of service to their clients. This is a full-time position, but please feel free to talk to me about flexible working to suit you. This role will provide you with ample opportunity for progression and fulfilment, with comprehensive clinical management training also available and fully funded. You will have support from an excellent practice team including a head nurse and head receptionist and a team of 5 veterinary surgeons. We also work within a large friendly network in our region, our local MNV site supports us out of hours, and are only 1 mile away. The next 12 months will be an exciting journey with Haven as we continue to grow our clinical projects, work on team growth and development of the nurses role in schedule 3 and clinical care. We have an impressive array of practice equipment which includes dental x-ray, radiography, ultrasound machines, in-house laboratory analysers, and multi-parameter monitors.
