Our fantastic client is looking for a Head nurse to lead a growing but established practice. The team is very cohesive and experienced, making this the perfect environment for any senior nurse to grow long term as they have ambitious expansion plans on the horizon. Duties: • Providing compassionate nursing care to small animal patients, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, assisting with examinations and procedures, and educating pet owners on animal health and care. • You’ll be ready to use your expertise, communicate confidently across the team, and take ownership of your clinical and customer-facing areas. • You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the work of the nursing staff to ensure efficient patient care and excellent client service. • This includes developing and implementing nursing protocols and procedures to maintain high standards of patient care, as well as providing hands-on nursing care for critical or complex cases as needed. • You will also train and mentor the junior nurses to develop their skills and knowledge. • Additionally, you will manage nursing staff schedules, time off requests, and performance reviews, serving as a liaison between the nursing team and vets to facilitate communication and problem-solving. • The close-knit, supportive team consists of highly qualified nurses, surgeons, and an established assistant team. A lot of the staff have been in place for many years, providing a great understanding both clinically and operationally, which allows for a smooth onboarding for you. • The town's strategic location provides excellent connectivity, with convenient rail and road links making it easy to access central London.
