We are recruiting a Health & Safety Engineer to join our Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Solutions team supporting our key client EDF Energy Nuclear Operations with their nuclear fleet in the UK. This is a key role within our project and engineering portfolio which is spread across our UK network at all UK sites and stations. You will be supported and mentored by experienced professionals and given the training and opportunities you need to develop and expand your management and leadership skills with larger and more complex projects. Key responsibilities will be: Provide positive leadership on HSE matters within the Portfolio Project Teams and promote the adoption of best practice, with an enthusiastic HSE culture that engages all employees in continuous improvement in HSE performance. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the HSE Management system and progress against HSE Performance Standards, making recommendations for improvement as appropriate. Work within a highly regulated environment with high safety standards and culture. Develop relationships and maintain effective networks, with a results-focused and team-centered approach. Qualifications
HNC in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent. Current qualification/knowledge of the CDM Regulations. Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate, Construction Certificate or NVQ Level 3. Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) desirable. IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management. Operational knowledge of current HSE legislation associated with project work. Good communication skills and the ability to develop network and working relationships with other groups involved in project delivery. Relevant experience working as a HSE Professional in a project context, including experience managing contractors and accident investigation and reporting. Our Culture
